Brian’s work focuses on his Canadian heritage, pays homage to Canadian folklore, and conveys the uniqueness and significance of the Canadian identity.
Brian’s creative goal is to share stories about places or moments in time with interwoven elements of joy, wit, and beauty. His use of humour and approachable subject matter make his work accessible to a broad audience.
Brian graduated from the Red Deer College Arts Program in 1992, earned a BFA from the University of Regina in 1994, and an MFA from the Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio in 1997.
Brian McArthur is a native of Red Deer, Alberta.
